“Do what you love. Love what you do.”
Welcome to Knitfarious! My name is Christina and I’m in love with knitting. I suspect you are too, otherwise you wouldn’t be here. Good! I don’t mind a little company.
I’m a self-taught knitter and have been knitting for about 3 years now. I picked up the hobby after suffering a personal loss and having a desperate need to busy my hands with something. Three years later I am still at it and I’m happy about that because knitting makes me happy.
I am a creative at heart and have a love for the written word and handmade crafts. The majority of what I share with you will likely be knitting related but, occasionally, I may share tales of a different craft as I have many aspirations for my shop and, well, I’m rather determined that way. I dream big and try to find joy and purpose in everything.
I am mom to two energetic fur-babies, wife to an amazing man, and currently work from home in the great state of Texas. I am always working on something and dream of a day when I could just sit and knit, but for now I will take the time I get.
Since I’m a writer at heart, I tend to look at my knitting projects like I do my writing projects; one doesn’t attempt to write the great American novel on the first sitting so I content myself with working on smaller projects, learning new stitches, and designing patterns. One day I may take on the challenge of becoming a Master Knitter, but at this time I am content with learning and perfecting.
I take solace in knowing that there are others out there like me who love knitting. I’ve felt incredibly welcome in various knitting communities where others are so willing to share their expertise, constructive criticism, and praise. Consider this blog an extension of those other sites. We all have something to contribute, we all have something to learn, and we are all in this together.
You can find some of my finished projects in my Etsy shop.
Happy (yarn) trails!
❤
